Firefighters hate two things when it comes to newspaper coverage. One is calling the air they carry oxygen tanks ("It's an AIR tank! You think I'm dumb enough to go into a burning building with a BOMB on my back?") and the other is showing them NOT fighting the fire. But in this case, on a 100-plus degree day, with deadly humidity, I decided the need outweighed their want. I later heard back that they liked how it showed how much they but their all in the fire supression effort.
